Romero Britto x Hublot Classic Fusion for the 2015 Only Watch Auction
The bold look of Hublot’s Classic Fusion makes way for the art of Romero Britto as the Swiss watchmaker has tapped the Brazilian neo-pop polymath to customize its timepiece for 2015′s Only Watch Auction. Inspired by the pop art movement in the artist’s native country, the design combines the traditional art of enameling with Britto’s cubist leanings as the watch’s white gold dial boasts a vibrant miniature work of meticulously applied champlevé Grand Feu enamel. Finished with a black case and bold red leather strap, the piece will be sold alongside the canvas that inspired it November 7, 2015 at the Only Watch Auction in Geneva to raise money for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
