The posthumously designed 2013 spring/summer show from design house Alexander McQueen
recently debuted in Paris at Men’s Fashion Week. Sarah Burton headed
the collection this season acting as the label’s creative director. As a
representation of classic business casual menswear updated with
contemporary fits, tropical colors stand out from accompanying neutral
tones on a selection of silk-constructed suited items. Delivered
complete with pocket squares and decorative flowers, peach, navy and
cream shades have been chosen for this release. Conventional checkered
and houndstooth patterns are displayed alongside unique vivacious
prints, with further leather options providing a single interruption of
the silk motif. With suit jackets as the focus, Burton presents a number
of single and double-breasted styles; the most memorable looks included
black with contrasting white labels, gold dragonfly detailing and an
all-over print mixed checkered pattern matched with a black overcoat.
